DESCRIPTION: 19 SERIES enamels are higher solids modified alkyds designed for industrial and maintenance applications. These enamels are fast drying with excellent application, gloss, weathering and abrasion properties.

TYPICAL USE: This product can be used as a finish coat on machinery, equipment, storage tanks, mild chemical installations and marine structures. It can also be used as a topcoat for structural steel and trailers. This enamel product can be modified with Isocynate resins.

DRYING TIME: 15 min. touch; 30 min. tack

SURFACE PREPARATION:

• Steel: Sandblast to SSPC-SP 6 “Commercial” finish. When blasting is not possible remove all loose rust and mill scale by power brushing or hand tool cleaning. Prime with 14-R-37 or other universal type primer.

• Previous painted surfaces: Remove all loose, peeling or blistered paint along with other contaminants. Check adhesion and compatibility by adding coat of 14-R-37 to surface before covering with 19 SERIES topcoat.

APPLICATION: Spray with air or airless is preferred method of application. Roller or brush application is recommended only for small areas due to quick drying properties of this product.
