  Best Practices:
  • Be sure to read and follow all application procedures in order to ensure the absolute best finish possible. If application equipment is recommended, follow all recommendations. Our testing procedures are extensive and you can rely on these to get the best results.

  • Appropriate surface preparation is the single most important thing you can do to get the best results. Dirt, dust and/or grease can cause problems from start to finish and in some cases affect drying and curing times.

  • Remember that the weather can play a big role in the results you get. High temperatures and humidity can affect curing and drying times as much as low temperatures and in many different ways. Whenever possible, make sure that the ambient temperature in the area where you will be working is within specified ranges. Likewise, monitor moisture levels to and adjust drying or curing times accordingly.

  • Be sure to test coatings on sample materials prior to application to large areas. Take notes and try different techniques until you are satisfied with the results. Then scale your application procedure up to the actual work space. You may find that one method works better for your specific application than another.

  • Many coatings are Flammable! Keep away from all sources of ignition during storage, mixing, application and cure.

  • Some products can burn your skin. Protect yourself with standard approved protective gear.

  • When spraying, the use of goggles, fresh air masks, or NIOSH approved respirators, protective skin cream and protective clothing is recommended as a standard practice.

  • Above all: Plan To Be Safe then Safely Implement Your Plan!
